Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.

How we make the site accessible

• The site is built with semantic HTML and uses meaningful page regions such as <main>, <nav> and <footer>.
• A skip link at the top of every page lets keyboard users jump straight to the main content.
• Text sizes and colours have been chosen to provide good contrast and readable copy.
• Images have descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are marked as such.
• Interactive elements have visible focus indicators and are reachable by keyboard.
• Animations respect the user’s reduced-motion preference and can be disabled at the operating-system level.

Known limitations

Some third-party content, such as embedded maps or social media feeds, may not be fully under our control. We review these regularly and provide alternative ways to access the information wherever possible.
